TEF Canada (Test d'évaluation de français) is one of two French tests IRCC accepts for immigration. It tests reading, writing, listening and speaking, and each result is converted to a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB / NCLC) level. Your CLB level — not the raw TEF score — determines Express Entry points, French-category eligibility and many Francophone work pathways.
